Why Vulcanus film

We are a group of specialists involved in preserving the audiovisual heritage who believe that movies should not only be restored but also screened and made accessible to the public.

Audiovisual pieces of art are frequently forgotten even after being preserved and restored. We have forgotten that films need to be seen.

Vulcanus film was born from the desire to make forgotten art accessible not only through screenings but also by promoting broader access to cinema.

Our goal is to help archives, libraries, and collectors to better preserve and make accessible their collections, especially materials less conventional (shorts, amateurs, industrial, non-fictional, art film).
